A good end cannot sanctify evil means; nor must we ever do evil, that good may come of it... We are too ready to retaliate, rather than forgive... And yet we could hurt no man that we believe loves us. Let us try then what love will do: for if men did once see we love them, we should soon find they would not harm us. Force may subdue, but Love gains: and he that forgives first, wins the laurel.
William Penn

Montpellier

Protestors living in a tree in a park in Montpellier

The center of Montpellier is closed to most traffic; the result is an oddly quiet city center

Krishen, my first host in Montpellier, from Mauritius
My second host in Montpellier, Patrice. I had the opportunity to hear him sing in the church he attends.

Patrice walked the distance on his pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. His wife, Nathalie, was a volunteer in Palestine with the International Campaign for the Protection of the Palestinian People.
