I haven t had much chance to use the internet since Zagreb, so there won t be any photos for a while. Meanwhile, Inge and I have made our way south to Prijedor, in Bosnia. In Hrvatska Kostajnica, the last Croatian town we were in before crossing into Bosnia, we met a family which has been involved in reconciliation projects, and just yesterday we met with representatives of the Local Democracy Agency of Prijedor, which supports dialogue betwen ethnic groups in the area as one of its aims. I ll write more about local efforts at reconciliation when I get a chance.
As always, we have met with great hospitality along the way.
Today we will be heading towards Banja Luka. We probably won t be going to Vukovar now, as we re too far south.
Photos at the first opportunity!
A good end cannot sanctify evil means; nor must we ever do evil, that good may come of it... We are too ready to retaliate, rather than forgive... And yet we could hurt no man that we believe loves us. Let us try then what love will do: for if men did once see we love them, we should soon find they would not harm us. Force may subdue, but Love gains: and he that forgives first, wins the laurel.

Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations wherever you come; that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in everyone...
