A good end cannot sanctify evil means; nor must we ever do evil, that good may come of it... We are too ready to retaliate, rather than forgive... And yet we could hurt no man that we believe loves us. Let us try then what love will do: for if men did once see we love them, we should soon find they would not harm us. Force may subdue, but Love gains: and he that forgives first, wins the laurel.
William Penn

Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations wherever you come; that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in everyone...

Guardamar to Elx

Fashion and rock and roll; my hosts Silvia and Manuel in Guardamar

Downtown Elche, where there are fewer palm trees

The cathedral in Elche where a medieval Mystery play is still performed

Fellow pilgrims. "It's this way!" "No, it's that way!"

Javi and his dog, Preta. Javi helped me adjust my backpack, and arranged shiatsu for my knees.

Genevieve, or 'Sisi', who gave me the gift of Shiatsu for my knees. This therapy transcended Shiatsu, though.

My hosts Javi and Mabel in the center; my current host Jeroni on the left; and Sisi and Ramón on the right. This after a grand lunch of paella.

Jeroni and Javi; peacemakers, and two of my hosts in Elx (in Valenciano), or Elche (in Castellano). Jeroni speaks English with a good Scottish accent.

A meeting of the '15th of May Movement', originally called 'Toma la Plaza' ('Occupy the Plaza') in Elx. This movement pre-dates 'Occupy Wall Street'.

Circulating 'Down to Egypt' petitions among the '15th of May' movement.
Feeling pretty satisfied with myself
